Grief can often seem to be almost insurmountable and never-ending. Andrea Waitley experienced her own depths of grief when her husband died of kidney cancer at only 46 years old. He was a strong believer and though she was crushed at losing him, Andrea knew he was with the Lord and that she would see him again. In the meantime, she had an 8 year old daughter to care for and as someone active in Christian ministry, she wanted to live and grieve in such a way that others would never doubt that God is good or that He couldn't be trusted.
She was really disappointed when she began to discover just how few grieving Christians were embracing the truth that we "do not grieve as those who have no hope."
Andrea's good friend and mentor, Dudley Hall, shared this truth with her. "Andrea, remember, there is grace to grieve." But she didn't see others experiencing that grace. The Lord began to teach her that grace is the God-given ability to do what is otherwise impossible. It is that truth that launched the Grace to Grieve workshop.
Andrea has been presenting this workshop for more than 19 years and has seen it bring hope and comfort to many. The very heart of this workshop is to encourage those who are grieving to build a life-giving message of hope and joy so others can experience the same thing.
Registration is required as seats are limited. The cost of the workshop is $30 which includes lunch and a workbook. The Grace to Grieve Workshop will be held at the Evangelical Free Church in Sidney, Nebraska on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. Call 308-254-6162 to register or email [email protected].
