Hometown Liquor opened on Thursday, December 22, and is already attracting customers looking for special wines and spirits that may be hard to find in other stores, and in a fresh and clean space.
Hometown Liquor, located at 1500 Illinois Street in Sidney, formerly the building that housed Two J's Liquor Store, has a fresh new look, and an open layout with three new doors opening to the cooler for customers to select products. The interior has been remodeled, with the counter space now on the opposite wall, and the ceiling has been elevated to give customers a less cramped feeling inside.
Owner Paul Strommen wanted to provide the community with a store for all their favorite beer, wine and liquor brands, and additionally supply high-end and hard to find products. General Manger Natalie Lucero is available to help customers with their choices or to special order products that are hard to find.
Strommen has many plans for the store in the future, now that it is up and running and attracting a steady flow of customers. The first job was renovating and making the space more efficient and welcoming, which has been completed and is a success. The location is convenient for Cheyenne County residents, nestled between the downtown Sidney area and Safeway.
