Leyton's Lady Warrior Volleyball team had four matches over the past week, and earned a split, winning two and dropping two to move to 8-and-8 on the season.
On Tuesday Sept. 20, the Lady Warriors traveled for a triangular with Garden County and Bayard, and after outlasting the Garden County squad 25-to-23, 22-to-25 and 25-to-14 for the 2-to-1 match victory, fell in straight sets to Bayard 26-to-24 and 25-to-17. The Lady Warriors then traveled to Kimball on Thursday for another triangular, and won a much tougher than anticipated match against the struggling Lady Longhorns in straight sets, 26-to-24 and 25-to-20. They then matched up with the tough Hay Springs team and fell in straight sets 25-to-21 and 25-to-20.
Leyton was scheduled to travel to Bridgeport to face the Lady Bulldogs on Tuesday, then travel to Arthur on Thursday for a match with the Lady Wolves.
