Creek Valley's Storm Football team continues to search for their first win, as they traveled to Bartley on Friday and wound up on the wrong side of a 60-to-6 rout against the Southwest Roughriders.
Southwest jumped on the Storm early, putting the game out of reach 38-to-0 at the end of the first quarter. Freshman quarterback Zander Polk was able to connect with Seth Wilber for a touchdown in the fourth quarter, but that was all the scoring the Storm could muster.
Polk ended his day, 12-for-22 passing for 155 yards, while the Storm only ran the ball 12 times for 7 yards. Wilber grabbed five receptions for 124 yards in the loss. Wyatt Holaday led the defense with eight tackles and junior Diego Caraveo recovered a fumble in the loss.
Creek Valley next hosts the 0-and-3 South Platte Blue Knights in Chappell on Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
