Sidney Cross Country Opens At Panhandle Classic

Sidney's Cross Country teams traveled to Scottsbluff on Thursday to open their season at the Panhandle Classic. The boy's team finished second with 49 points and the girl's team finished third with 55 points.

Outstanding performances for the boys included sophomore Noah Canas' fifth place showing at 19:32.10 and sophomore Jashawn Davenport's ninth place finish at 19:42.59. Sidney placed three runners in the top twenty for their second place finish.

For the girls, junior Talissa Tanquary again dominated the competition, coming in first place by nearly a half minute at 21:21.57, beating out Leyt...
