A public meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Aug. 29 at Sidney High School's Performing Arts Center on trafficking.
The community conversation will include Glen Parks , Nebraska Attorney General’s office Coordinator of the Nebraska Human Trafficking Task Force.
Glen Parks graduated from UNL law school in 2001, clerked at the Nebraska Supreme Court, and worked as a civil litigator. He spent nine years in India, where he worked on projects addressing human trafficking. He and his family returned to Lincoln in 2015.
Parks has been the task force coordinator for over 5 years.
Madeline Walker from the Nebraska Coalition to End Sexual & Domestic violence will also be speaking on “trends and prevention in the Nebraska Heartland with Human Trafficking”
The Nebraska Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence is a statewide advocacy organization committed to the prevention and elimination of sexual and domestic violence. We work to enhance safety and justice for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking by supporting and building upon the services provided by our network of local programs.
Arianna Nouragas, from The Doves Program will also be providing education, prevention, and resources.
