Muldoon Excels In MAC Vs. MNAC All-Star Game

After the conclusion of the State Tournament, Mullen's Superintendent, Chris Kuncl, contacted Potter-Dix Activities Director Cory Michelman about getting the Mid-Nebraska Activities Conference (MNAC) and the Minuteman Activities Conference (MAC) together for boys and girls All-Star Basketball games. Creek Valley Superintendent and MAC conference president Patrick Ningen helped organize the inaugural event between the conferences.

The games were held in Sutherland on Friday, June 17, and both featured graduated seniors from the MAC conference. The girl's game was a tight contest until the fourth quarter when the MNAC All-Stars pulled ahead, outscoring the MAC All-Stars 25-to-11 to take the victory by a final score of 75-to-63. Megan Donegan of South Loup led the MNAC team with 26 points, while Sioux County's Kailey Klein led the MAC squad with 23 points.

The boy's game was also a close contest, but rather than ending with the MNAC team pulling away in the fourth quarter for a comfortable win, the game went down to the final moments with the MNAC team rallying form behind and pulling out a 77-to-75 victory. Potter-Dix's Thomas Muldoon led the MAC team with 23 points. Eli Schmid and Drew Fraass of Creek Valley also played for the MAC team.

South Platte's Tom Weber was the coach of the MAC girl's All-Star team, while Cory Michelman of Potter-Dix and Chad Dormann of Garden County coached the boy's MAC All-Star team.
