Week 23

In the world of baseball, when the pitcher has trouble striking out  batters, the Coach calls to the Bull Pen for another. 

Likewise, God calls His church (Ekklesia), where His intensely discipled, trained and seasoned warriors stand ready, in agreement. “The Helper, Holy Spirit, will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance things I said to you,” Jesus assures His Disciples.  John 14:26. 

The word ‘Helper’ here, is ‘paraclete’, defined as one who comes alongside to assist.  Jesus sent Holy Spirit to help us carry out our petitions before Him.  Philippians 4:6-8.  Our part is to agree with His strategies.  “Again, I say to you, if two if you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father, for if two or three are gathered in My Name, there I am in the midst of them.”  Matthew 18:19, 20.  He’s there to send His angels, of course!

President Ronald Reagan while going along a street in Washington D.C. noticed a young girl in apparent distress.  He ordered the Presidential limousine to halt.  He stepped out and asked the youngster, “What’s the trouble?”.  She sobbed, “My front tooth fell out.”

She showed him her pitted grin, “I can’t find it for the tooth fairy, tonight.”  The President put his arm around her and said, “Let’s look.”

Both of them knelt to the sidewalk for a search.  Sure enough, there the tooth was, lodged in the rain drain.  They were rejoicing together when her mother appeared.  As President Reagan reconciled the two, he reached in his pocket and brought forth several bills. He handed them to the young lady with these words, “Here’s money, just in case the tooth fairy does not know the value of your tooth.” 

The power of agreement conquers whatever the adversary pitches to God’s Family in this game of life.  Families are designed to operate as a Jesus Team! Theirs is the most powerful prayer force in the entire Universe!  His bull pen (Church) is filled with believing families who rely on one another, encourage one another, help one another and stand against outside forces as one unit.   When news is overwhelmingly sad and there’s a gap in our grin, time on our knees in prayer will uncover the solutions we need. He anoints what He appoints with provision. Father knows and appreciates our value

Jesus paid it all!  We’re anointed with His Paraclete, Holy Spirit, reconciled to Father in right standing, hovered over by ministering angels, capable, intelligent and loveable (fully equipped) to get this work on earth done!  Hebrews 1:14

“What more shall I say? Time would fail me to tell of those who, through faith [and agreement] subdued kingdoms … out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle and turned to flight ten thousands of alien armies.”  Hebrews 11:34 Beloved, let’s agree to engage His strategies and sing songs of deliverance!
