Bruce Anthony Dimick of Lodgepole, Nebraska; Fort Collins, Colorado; and Seldovia, Alaska passed away peacefully on May 7th, 2022. Bruce was 83 years old. He was born in Sidney, Nebraska on June 8th, 1938.
He was preceded in death by his parents Percy and Freda Dimick and his grandson Eian Stamp. Bruce was a farmer in Lodgepole for many years. He served in the National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1963. He was married to Charleen Compton for 16 years and they had four children together. He moved to Fort Collins years later to be closer to his family after he sold the family farm. His final destination was Seldovia in 1995 which was his little slice of heaven overlooking Kachemak Bay and miles of Alaska’s wonders.
Bruce was an artist and inventor. He played the piano, banjo, and ukulele. He painted, cooked, and created intricate mechanisms for handling home and workshop tasks. He also had a passion for weaving on his loom and created hundreds of elaborate and personalized pieces from blankets and ponchos to wall hanging art. He was happy and proud to give these away throughout the years to friends and family.
His wish to be cremated has been honored and we will have a private gathering with immediate family in Fort Collins, Colorado to remember, reflect, and celebrate Bruce’s life.
Peace be with you Dad...
