Carol Ann Taylor, 64 of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, peacefully passed on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Carol Ann was born on September 28, 1957 to Carlene Ann (Buehler) Tallmage and Charles Ray Spangler in Van Buren, Arkansas. She was raised by her mother and step-father in Sidney, Nebraska, and she graduated from Sidney High School in 1975.
Carol became a loving mother and was busy raising her 5 children, Shannon, Benjerman, Crystal, Daniel and Kimberly. For the majority of her life, Carol worked as a caregiver for the Office of Human Development in Sidney, Nebraska and Crest View Care.
Hobbies of Carol included sewing, crocheting and collecting cook books, bells and dolphin figurines. She loved to cook and enjoyed drinking coffee, long walks and rearranging rooms.
However, her greatest passion was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, Teagan and Nathaniel. Carol always liked looking at the bright side of life, and even when she was not feeling well, maintained a steady smile on her face and a hearty welcome to those coming to visit.
Carol was an amazing mother, loving grandmother, and dear sister. She will truly be missed.
Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Shannon Spangler of Lancaster, NE, Benjerman Williamson of Bridgeport, NE, Crystal Williamson of Sidney, NE, Daniel Williamson of Conroe, TX and Kimberly Howell of Manhattan, KS; 11 grandchildren; sisters, Susan (Edward) Ward of Sidney, NE, Mary (Howard) Burton of Mesa, AZ, Pam Fisher of Broken Bow, NE, Deanna Kreider of Broken Bow, NE and Doreen (Albert) Armentrout of Sioux Falls, SD; brother, Nathan Pultz of Sidney, NE; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her father, Charles Spangler; mother, Carlene Tallmage; step-father, Paul Pultz; and nephew, Brandon Ward.
