Mobile Food Pantry Officially Completed

Jim Hansen, Company Outreach Coordinator for Sandhill Global, was at Adams Industries in Sidney on Friday for the unveiling of the new Mobile Pantry for Table of Grace.

Sandhills Global partnered with Adams Industries to build a Mobile Pantry to service households in need in the Panhandle. Hansen said Sandhills Global's employees were donating money and time to Table of Grace in Sidney, which helps over 500 families in Cheyenne, Kimball and Garden Counties with food and basic supply needs.

Table of Grace had contacted Sandhills about helping to provide a Mobile Pantry, and Sandhills partnered with Adams Industries to construct a custom trailer to provide Table of Grace's services to underserved areas and to help those in need with transportation difficulties.

The trailer is equipped with a fully-working kitchen, refrigerators and freezers and warmers to serve the communities. Custom racks are installed to carry a full stock of foods and supplies, and the trailer has been customized for easy and convenient access and mobility.

Adams is currently building a Mobile Pantry to service the Lincoln area.

“Sandhills is based in Lincoln, but we are very local. We want to help the people in Lincoln and here in Cheyenne County,” Hansen said. “It began a partnership with Adams and they have been nothing but first class, top of the line. It has been outstanding. There was never a problem that couldn’t be solved.” Sherri Eads, Director of Table of Grace, says they anticipate the Mobile Pantries first trip in the area will be to Lodgepole, likely in the beginning of July.
