Disinformation Campaign

Who do you trust to tell you the truth? Would you know the truth if you heard it? What is the difference between “disinformation” and a “different point of view or belief”?

Your answers to these questions will have a great deal of influence on who and what you believe in. We are hearing a great deal from certain characters in our federal government and mass news media about “disinformation”. They are so distraught over what they call “disinformation” they want to instigate (yes, I know what that word means) a new function in our government to identify and do who knows what to the purveyors of “disinformation.” Most likely those charged with spreading “disinformation” will be treated the same as the “Capital Rioters” – put in a dungeon and maybe in 3-5 or who knows how many years will have their case heard before a special board. This sort of process was used many decades ago… it was called the Spanish Inquisition.

Resorting to my ever present Miriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, the definition of “disinformation”  is: “False information deliberately and often covertly spread (as by the planting of rumors) in order to influence public opinion or obscure the truth.” With this as a standard for establishing what is, or is not, disinformation, I believe I can safely say and write that the federal government’s establishment of a “Disinformation Agency” is very dangerous. I can also safely say that they are the biggest purveyors of disinformation.

The world has had many experiences throughout history concerning various governments getting involved in establishing what is true and what is false. The Spanish Inquisition, the Italian version of the same, the Nazis and the Soviet Union had their versions, and the Communist Chinese have theirs. So the question becomes: Whose version will the U.S. Federal Government institute?

Will they define “false information” (also known as “lies”) as a federal crime. If so, who will be responsible to establish what is true or false? Will this definition be based on which political party is in control? Or which multi-billionaire is supporting the party in power?

Most important of all is the question of how in the world can our government instigate such a dangerous and fascistic operation? I deliberately use the word “fascistic” in its original and historic meaning. It refers to a government that is a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader(ship) that institutes severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition. This form of government was rejected by our nation’s founders and they sought to prevent its birth by delineating certain fundamental rights and liberties in our Constitution of the United States.

Amendment 1 states: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

Amendment 9 says that “The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.”

Amendment 10 further establishes “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

No where in the Constitution does the ability to establish rules and regulations about free speech given to any level of government.

For a few decades we have been under the thumb of a social movement backed by uber rich individuals who support a socialistic form of national government in which they hope to be the ones who ultimately rule over everyone else. We have men and women in both political parties that seem to be wanting the same thing: dictatorial ruler ship.

I’m not advocating riot or any form of destructive activity. I am encouraging you to stand up and vote for those who believe and act on the belief that we are guaranteed “certain inalienable rights” endowed by our Creator and not by government. If they do not believe and actively support this statement do not vote for them. We’ve more than we need of the milksop, power hungry people in government. It is time to weed them out. We may not get another chance. The loss of freedom is only one election away.
