Wauneta Mae Eastman (Handley) was born to the late Arthur Ross and Gladys Dell Handley (Sellars), in Gurley, NE on December 15, 1929. She ended her fight with cancer on April 19, 2022.
Wanda started her working career as a teacher in a one-room schoolhouse east of Gurley, Nebraska and retired as a key-punch operator for the VA in Seattle, WA.
Wanda was blessed with a large and loving family. She married Arthur Edward Eastman, on June 3, 1961 in Seattle, WA and went on to raise two lovely daughters. Along with her love for her family and her home in Renton, WA nothing was as important to her as her relationship with Jesus Christ.
Wanda is survived by her daughters Susan Eastman and Cynthia Eastman; her sisters Ladonna Handley (Zetwick) and Joey Handley (Piwenitzky); and numberous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Ross and Gladys Handley; husband Arthur Eastman; and siblings Fern Hirsch, Joy Handley, Loy Handley, Lou Cane, Harry Handley, June Gabor, Don Handley, Ruth McDowell, Carol Forsyth.
Services wil be held at Tahoma National Cemetary, where she will be laid to rest with her late husband, on Monday May 23, 2022. In lieu of flowers, Wanda asked for donations to be made to Homeless Veterans organizations.
