Ruby L. Jung, age 88, of Potter, NE passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021 at SRMC in Sidney. Cremation has been held. Memorial services will be held in the Spring of 2022 at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Sidney. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Potter Volunteer Fire Department or to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

Ruby was, as the family states, the “chief cook and bottle washer” all her married life and loved every minute of that title. Her laugh that you could hear for blocks will be greatly missed.
Ruby Jung, the daughter of James and Selma (Anderson) Mitchell was born in Sidney on December 19, 1932. Ruby was united in marriage to Elmer Jung, December 20, 1953 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sidney.
Survivors include; her children: Catherine Saali and children: Tracy and Daniel all of Potter and Jerry and Randy Jung of Potter; Sisters: Pearl Wood of Sidney, Irene Young of Morrill, sisters-in-law: Leona Gaston of Kimball and Alice Mitchell of Chappell, brothers-in-law: Alferd Jung and wife LaDonna of Sidney and Harvey Jung and wife Janet of Potter and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Elmer (Nov. 2015), daughter: Melody Jung (April 2015); brothers: James, Richard, Robert, Kenneth and Francis, Sisters: Ruth Bonser and Ester Christensen.
