Leyton's Lady Warrior Volleyball team goes into the D2-11 Subdistrict Tournament on Monday October 25 as winners of three of their last five matches, and the number three seed.
Over the Past week, they've knocked off Potter-Dix, Bayard and Minatare, while losing to South Platted and Sedgwick County. However, they go into the first round matched up against number two seed South Platte, with a 22-and-7 record, and two wins against the Lady Warriors this season.
But it does not look like an impossible task to take down Lady Blue Knights, as the the Leyton team did win a set against South Platte early in the season, and with the improvement the Lady Warriors have shown throughout the year. The Lady Warriors need to be aggressive and cut down on hitting errors to stay with the South Platte team, and if able to do so, should give them a battle in the first round of the tournament. The Tournament was scheduled to start on Monday in Oshkosh.
