INDIANAPOLIS — This week, FFA members and supporters from across the country will celebrate agricultural education and agriculture during the 94th National FFA Convention & Expo, Oct. 27-29.
Nine Sidney High School FFA members and officers, their sponsor and one chaperone will be flying to Indy today (Wednesday). Students attending are:Sidney Allard (Treasurer, Sophomore), Joslyn Bertrand (Member, Junior), Zoe Fornander (Member, Junior), Angel Helms (Vice President, Junior), Nolan Hofrock (Reporter, Junior), Kord McMillen (President, Senior), Emily Miller (Secretary, Junior), Riley Rohm (Sentinel, Sophomore) and Paxton Wilson (Member, Junior).
This time-honored tradition, which was held virtually last year, will once again be in-person and hosted by the city of Indianapolis.
It’s an opportunity for students to be exposed to new career paths and opportunities while celebrating the accomplishments these future leaders have made over the past year. Throughout the week, national convention and expo will attend general convention sessions where they will be inspired by their peers and, in the expo, explore various career paths. In addition, attendees can participate in career success tours and student and teacher workshops. Those in attendance can also participate in a service event, while FFA members across the country can join the National Days of Service in their local communities. In-person attendees and virtual attendees will also be able to experience the Virtual FFA Blue Room, which showcases cutting-edge technology, research and innovation in agriculture.
General convention sessions will be aired live on RFD-TV and The Cowboy Channel. FFA members and supporters can tune in and watch gavel-to-gavel coverage of the event. To learn more, visit convention.FFA.org.
