The Peetz Bulldog Football team snapped a three game losing streak Friday when they hosted the Weldon Valley Warriors and came away with a big 74-to-24 win.
The game started as a tight battle, with both teams trading scores early on until Peetz went up 21-to-12 at the end of the first quarter. Then the Bulldog defense clamped down, shutting out the Warriors in the second period while putting up 40 unanswered points to go into the halftime up 61-to-12.
Weldon Valley managed a few good drives in the third quarter and put up 12 additional points, but were shut out in the fourth quarter. Peetz scored a touchdown in the third and fourth quarters to put up 13 additional points in the second half.
The game ended with a 74-to-24 final score, improvbing the Bulldogs' record to 3-and-4 (2-and-4 in league). Peetz has two games left in the regular season, and face off against Flagler on the road on Friday.
