Serving proudly since 1873 as the beautiful Nebraska Panhandle's first newspaper
Dean R. Hyde, 71, formerly of Sidney, resident of Denver, CO passed away September 16, 2021.
Dean was born November 27, 1949. He joins his beloved parents, Harold and Thelma, sister, Barbara and sister-in-law, Sharon (née Kaylor) in comfort and peace.
His first seven years were on the family farm, first attending country school in the rural Weyerts district and then the Sidney school system until High School graduation in 1967.
He attended the University of Nebraska and the University of Wyoming. Dean traveled throughout the world, visiting six continents - collecting art and antiques.
Dean’s unique flair for writing, story telling and sense of humor were appreciated by those in his company. He had extensive knowledge in a wide variety of subjects. Dean pursued his passions of being a painter of vibrant canvases and a dedicated, successful third generation agrarian.
Dean leaves a void in the hearts of his twin sister, Diane of Scottsdale, AZ; sister, Cheri (Dennis) of Ashland, NE; brother, Bill from Austin, TX; four nieces and three nephews; 18 grand nieces and nephews, many cousins and friends across the globe. We wish to thank James Worsham, our family friend and business partner for his support.
