Linda Sue Roelle

Linda Sue Roelle, age 67, of Peetz, CO passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 in Sidney, NE with her family by her side. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, October 4, 2021 at the Peetz Community Center in Peetz, CO. Cremation has been held. Friends may stop from 4-6:00 P.M. at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel in Sidney, NE on Sunday to sign Linda’s register book and leave condolences for the family. Family will be present.

Linda Sue Roelle was born November 22, 1953 to Clifford and Dorothy Robbins Rennewanz in Sidney, NE. She attended grade school in Minnesota, before the family moved back to Peetz where she graduated high school in1972. She married her high school sweetheart Carl Roelle on April 7, 1973 and to this union two sons were born.

She was a Peetz school cook, worked at Alco, the Hot Spot, Cabela’s distribution center and wrote grants and worked in the CDL program at WNCC. She continued her education as well while working at WNCC and had almost completed her bachelor’s degree. Linda loved fishing and camping. She loved playing cards and gambling. She enjoyed canning everything from vegetables to green chili and bloody Mary mix and even syrups. She also had a knack for making some of the best spices. She was an amazing cook, baker and gardener. She had great creativity and was the most thoughtful gift giver. She spent a lot of time going to her grandkids games and events and supporting them in whatever they were in. Linda knew how to have fun and throw a party or get together.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Leon Hansen, one nephew, sister-in -law Ann Hazlitt and brother-in-law Ron Fuller.

She left behind her loving husband, Carl. Two sons, Donnell, and Derick and his wife Melissa. Three grandchildren, Macey, Kennedy, and Levi. Brothers Aldean Rennewanz, Lyle Hanson, Mark Hanson and wife Dana, Bruce Hanson and partner Debbie. One sister Ann Mick and husband Doug. Sister-in-laws Trudy Fuller and Willa Roelle. One Brother-in-law Bob Hazlitt. Many nieces and nephews, and countless friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in the family’s name for the family to choose a charity of their choice at a later date.
