Creek Valley's Lady Storm Volleyball team started the season with a string of losses until they were able to earn wins against Minatare and Hyannis in the beginning of the month.
Creek Valley had a busy week that started with a road win against Morrill, and ended with a tournament win against Leyton on Saturday.
On Tuesday, September 7, Creek Valley was able to put down the Lady Lions in straight sets, 25-to-14 and 25-to-14 for a 2-to-0 match victory. Creek Valley then lost the second match of the triangular, falling to Arthur County 25-to-19 and 25-to-18 for the 2-to-0 loss.
The Lady Storm regrouped and traveled to Sioux County on Friday, but faced a powerful Lady Warrior team that put down the Lady Storm 25-to-14, 25-to-14 and 25-to-18 for the 3-to-0 match victory.
Creek Valley then traveled to Garden County on Saturday, and first faced off against the South Platte Lady Blue Knights. The Lady Storm had difficulty against the Strong South Platte team, and dropped the match in straight sets 25-to-14 and 25-to-18. Creek Valley was able to recover with a strong performance against the Leyton Lady Warriors, sweeping two sets 25-to-18 and 25-to-21 for the match victory. Creek Valley moves their record to 4-and-9, and host Minatare on Thursday in Chappell.
