Leyton's Lady Warrior Volleyball team started their 2021 season in the right way, reeling off two victories in convincing fashion.
Leyton started off on the road in Minatare, matching up against the Lady Indians and the Potter-Dix Lady Coyotes. In the first match. Leyton downed the hosts 25-to-19 and 25-to-15 for the 2-to-0 match win. Senior Cortney Holt led the offense with 7 kills, while freshman Zaili Benish and sophomore Claire Watchorn each had three Ace Serves in the victory.
Next against Potter-Dix, the teams battled hard but Leyton was able to come out on top in both sets, 25-to-19 and 25-to-15 for the 2-to-0 match win.
Leyton looked to extend their winning streak to three against Kimball, who they were scheduled to face on Tuesday, August 31.
