Virginia M. Hossle

Virginia M. Hossle, 99, of Omaha, NE and formerly of Sidney, NE passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021 in Omaha.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m.Friday, September 17, 2021, in the First United Methodist Church in Sidney, NE with Pastor Corey Jenkins officiating. Inurnment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Sidney. Cremation has been held. Services will be recorded and available on our website for viewing. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Thursday from 1-6:00 p.m. To sign Virginia’s register book and leave condolences for the family.

Virginia was born on May 10, 1922, to Clarence and Tessie (Plock) Sanders at Fairmont, NE. She had two sisters. She married Robert Hossle on September 20, 1942 and to this union three children were born: Robert, Patrick and Pamela. Virginia was a homemaker and a member of PEO, Chapter BO. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sidney, NE and enjoyed sewing, music, golf, playing bridge and most of all she enjoyed her family.

Her survivors include her children, Robert and wife Paris of Largo, FL, Patrick and wife Marcy of Missoula, MT and Logsden, Oregon and Pamela Hossle of Omaha, NE .; three grandchildren, Ashley, Tierney and the late Andrew and three great grandchildren; brother-in-law Jack Burns of Cheyenne, WY and numerous extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents Clarence and Tessie Sanders; sisters Better Gildersleeve and brother-in-law Richard, Evelyn Larson and brother-in-law Corky, sister-in-law Laura Burns and grandson Andrew Hossle.
