Leyton Public Schools has announced that Natasha Haupt as the new Head Volleyball Coach of the Lady Warriors.
Coach Haupt played college volleyball at Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton, Oregon and has been involved with the sport as a player and coach for more than 20 years.
Her coaching experience includes various recreation leagues in and around Sidney. Coach Haupt is excited to join the Leyton Warriors as Head Volleyball Coach. “I cannot wait to get started with this group of talented young ladies. The opportunity is there for us and with hard work, we can compete,” she said.
Brad Hicks, last year’s assistant coach, will continue in that role this season.
Leyton finished the 2020-21 season with an overall record of 7-and-16, placing fourth in D1 District 12. Although they lose standout seniors Ella Draper and Sage Rummel to graduation, the Lady Warriors will return a strong core of experienced players and welcomes a talented group of incoming freshman.
