Frances Louise Kilgore, age 95, of Sidney, NE passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021 in Bayard, NE. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 27, 2021. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Thursday from 1-6:00 P.M. to sign Frances’s register book and leave condolences for the family. Memorial services are planned for a future date.

Frances was born on June 27, 1925 to Emil and Agnes (Henzl) Zalesky. Frances had five siblings, Emil, Helen, Blanch, Jenny and Amelia. Frances grew up in the Sunol area and graduated from high school in Sunol, NE on May 13, 1943.
She married Fred Kilgore on November 22, 1945. Fred and Frances raised two sons Dennis and Mike Kilgore.
Frances worked at Safeway, Cabela’s and McDonald’s Clothing Company. She worked at the phone company in the late 80’s and early 90’s where she retired as an operator.
Frances was an avid sports fan. She especially loved high school basketball, Husker football and volleyball.
She is survived by one son Mike Kilgore, two grandsons Dennis and Dusty Kilgore, two granddaughters Brie and Erieene Kilgore, one great-granddaughter Brook Langston and one great grandson Seth Kilgore.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Agnes, husband Fred, her son Dennis and her five siblings. Frances was dearly loved and will be missed by her family and friends.
