Gary G. Youngman, age 71, of Sidney passed away in his home on Friday, March 26, 2021. A private family service is planned.

Gary Gene Youngman was born on September 27, 1949 to Earl and Esther “Deisher” Youngman in Princeton, IN. He attended high school in Sterling, CO and went on to attend the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO. He joined the Army in July of 1967. After returning home in September of 1969, he worked in the oil industry in the U.S. and abroad. He returned to college and then worked as a case advocate for the developmentally disabled until his retirement. He married Librada “Libby” Viera Martinez on July 24, 2017 in Kimball, NE.
Gary enjoyed panning for gold, reading, coaching youth basketball and football for his son’s teams. He also enjoyed driving his Mustang GT5 and was an avid Colorado Buffalo fan.
He is survived by his wife, son Eric Youngman of Greeley, CO, step-son Johnny Martinez of Sidney, NE, and step-daughter Alison and husband Jerry Mungia of Ogallala, NE, and sister Penny and husband Ted Propst of Sterling, CO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Michael Youngman and sister Peggy Youngman.
