Peetz’s Lady Bulldog Basketball team is still in search of their first win, despite three opportunities over the past week.
The Lady Bulldogs hosted the Weldon Valley Lady Warriors on Thursday February 11, and again struggled on offense, only scoring 18 points against a Lady Warrior team that entered the match-up with just one win. Peetz could not find a way to beat the Weldon Valley defense, and lost by a final score of 33-to-18.
The Lady Bulldogs next hosted a tough Fleming team on Tuesday February 16 that exploded for 32 points in the first frame, then coasted for the remainder of the contest to earn the 81-to-17 win.
The girls then hosted North Park on Saturday February 20, and could not withstand the scoring of the North Park freshman and junior tandem of Dezirae Gonzalez and Paige Sanchez, as the Lady Wildcats opened a 31-to-14 halftime lead en route to a 60-to-30 victory. The Lady Bulldogs will try again for their first win of the season as they go on the road this week against Weldon Valley on Tuesday, Prairie on Thursday and Otis on Friday.
