Mark Edward Thompson, age 59, of Colorado Springs, CO passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 19, 2020 from COVID-19. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Gehrig-Stitt Chapel & Cremation Service, LLC is in charge of Mark’s care and funeral arrangements.
Mark was born on December 13, 1960 in Denver, CO to Kathryn Disney and Gary Thompson.
Mark graduated from Arvada West High School in Arvada, CO in 1979 and graduated from Southern Methodist University (SMU) with the 1983 class. He enjoyed playing football in high school and college and continued his enjoyment of football every fall by watching the game he loved. He was also a master fisherman and hunter and enjoyed sharing these passions with family and friends whenever he had the opportunity.
Mark was employed by Behr Paint at the time of his death.
He is survived by his parents, Kathryn Disney of Golden, CO and Gary Thompson (Paulette) of Brighton, CO; brother, Travis Thompson (Allyson) of Benton, AR; niece Caroline Thompson also of Benton; nephew, Edward Thompson of Houston, TX; and stepsiblings, Jason Lopez (TJ) and Brandi Sullenberger (Aaron). Mark is also survived by numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents Marge and Edward Disney and Jake and Dora Thompson of Lodgepole, NE.
