Outstanding County 4-H Members

The Cheyenne County 4-H program recognized Felicity Beyer and Kaylee Eddy as their Outstanding 4-H Members of the Year during their annual achievement celebration on November 22nd.

The Outstanding 4-H Member of the Year is given to 1-2 youth each year and the selection criteria is based on 4-H leadership, civic engagement, community service, how 4-H has affected their life, and how they will use their 4-H experiences in their future.

Felicity Beyer has been a member of the Bunker Hillbillies 4-H Club for nine years and has held numerous leadership positions within the club including: President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Pledge Leader, and Newspaper Reporter. Felicity has volunteered at food pantries, church events, and during workshops for younger 4-H members.

Through 4-H, Felicity has developed her public speaking skills and has competed at both the county and state level contests. She believes the skills that she has learned through 4-H will help her be a great teacher. Felicity plans to pursue a degree in teaching and ultimate teach science! Felicity is the daughter of Mike and Melinda Beyer.

Kaylee Eddy is a seven year member of the Dryland Toughies 4-H Club and has also held numerous leadership positions within that club including: President, Vice-President, and Social Media Manager. She has volunteered her time during the annual Spring 4-H Carnival, highway trash pick-up days, creating flower tubs for the fairgrounds, and organized a fundraiser for a local animal shelter.

Kaylee has enjoyed mentoring younger 4-H members especially when showing livestock and learning how to model for the 4-H fashion show. Kaylee is a proud member of the Sidney High Cheer Team and the National Honor Society. Through 4-H Kaylee has learned about hard work and responsibility through owning livestock and gained confidence through her leadership roles within the Dryland Toughies 4-H Club. Kaylee is the daughter of Josh and Jessica Eddy.
