Serving proudly since 1873 as the beautiful Nebraska Panhandle's first newspaper
Suzanne Mae Solano, 67, of Lincoln, died Oct. 17, 2020, peacefully in her home.
She was born Dec. 12, 1952, in Sidney, the daughter of Lloyd and Geraldine Talich.
A celebration of life open house was held 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, at Butherus Maser and Love Funeral Home.
Suzanne was a proud baseball mom and softball grandma. She was a sparkle of energy that could be found proudly cheering at every game come rain or shine. She spent many years following her boys around the state making sure to be their number one super fan. That commitment and love continued as they grew into adults, she was not just a mother, but a friend. As her grandchildren followed along that path, she was once again the light of positivity and encouragement at every game and this gave her so much pleasure in life.
Suzanne worked for Cherry Hill Dental for 48 years as a dental assistant was a rock for the clinic and a constant presence. She was like family to many at the clinic and as was her way brought warmth and happiness with her wherever she went. On her days off when Suzanne wasn’t at the ball field, she could be found enjoying life relaxing in the sun on the patio or poolside next to one of her boys. Suzanne was always lovely, always humble, always undemanding of anyone’s time and attention she continually stood by ready to help others. She will be missed by all who crossed her path.
She is survived by sons Clinton Solano, Travis Solano and wife Laura; grandchildren Connor, Josi and Brenli of Lincoln, Leena and Ellis of Tampa; brothers Gary Talich and wife Sharon, Larry Talich and wife Wanda.
