The Red Raiders made the drive out to Gothenburg Friday for a district matchup against a Swedes team coming off a 28-to-6 upset road win against the previously unbeaten Mitchell Tigers.
The Sidney defense knew it would have to contend with a recently revamped and revived Gothenburg attack if they were to pull off an upset of their own. Gothenburg started on offense, and methodically marched down the field, capping the drive with a short touchdown pass to give the Swedes an early 7-to-0 lead.
