Warriors Batter Longhorns, 61-24

Leyton's Warrior Football team has gone to 4-and-0 in the 8-Man Football league, with the Hyannis Longhorns the latest team to fall to the Warrior's multifaceted offensive attack and stifling defense. The Warriors racked up 26 points in the first quarter while shutting out the Longhorns, putting the game out of reach for the home team early.

The Longhorns were finally able to respond with two touchdowns in the second quarter, but Leyton also scored two and went into the half with a big 41-to-16 lead. The Warriors piled on another 20 points in the second half to end the game with a final score of 61-to-24, and an unblemished 4-and-0 record.

Junior quarterback Scout Gamble was 6-for-8 passing with 139 yards and two touchdowns, and also ran for 23 yards and another touchdown. The offense spread the ball around on the ground, with seven different runners gaining a combined total of 218 yards on the ground. Junior Mason Reimers hauled in two catches for 88 yards and a touchdown and also had two interceptions while senior Dominick Russ led the defense with seven total tackles and junior Matthew Monheiser had two sacks in the victory.

Leyton next faces Morrill at home on Friday.
