Serving proudly since 1873 as the beautiful Nebraska Panhandle's first newspaper
Bethel #25 of Sidney, NE of Job’s Daughters International competed in their annual state competition “Find the Music Within” Grand Session virtually this past week. While the Arts & Crafts competitions were not held, Bethel #25 still competed in music, signing and ritual contests. Grand Bethel Honored Queen for the state of Nebraska Janessa Carley won first place in the Knowledge Competition senior division with a perfect score! Raina Hartwig placed third in Individual Signing and received the Glen O. Emick Scholarship. Ginny Herboldsheimer placed first in Story of Job, 4th Messenger, Librarian’s Essay, and received the Grand Master Scholarship and Eastern Star Scholarship.
Before our grueling week of competition, Bethel #25 held installation of officers for the Fall Term. Bel Sauer was installed as Chaplain, Kennedy Knoll was installed as 1st Messenger, and Paige Dalimata was installed as 5th Messenger.
This fall we will be changing our meetings to the first Sunday of the month at 1pm. This will allow our college girls to still travel home and play a part in our great organization! We’d love for you to join us!
Job’s Daughters International is an organization for girls 10-19 years old that emphasizes leadership, public speaking and friendship. We raise money to support the Hearing Improvement Kids Endowment which purchases hearing aids for children who can’t afford them. Check out our facebook page at Job’s Daughters Bethel #25 to learn more about our wonderful organization. For more information about how to join, please contact Laurie Herboldsheimer, Bethel Guardian, at 308-249-7232.
