Leyton School Board Candidate - Elizabeth Twarling

Series: Primary Election | Story 2

What made you decide to run for Leyton School Board this year? I decided to run for the board as I would like to see our school continue to be successful and be there for all staff, students and community members.

What do you think the Leyton School District does well? Our school district listens to our students' suggestions and desires.

What about Leyton School District would you like to see change?  I would like our school to continue to look for and listen to the staff, parents and community for suggestions on school improvements.  Not only for building improvements but their input for student class schedules, testing and curriculum.

What characteristics or qualifications do you have that will enable you to implement suggested changes in question 3? I have worked at Leyton Public Schools since 2002 in several different positions.  I have experience as a kitchen aid, job coach for students, library para and high school secretary.

What is the most important thing for voters to know about you as they consider your candidacy? I would like to see this school continue to be the best that it can be. My husband and I graduated from Dalton High School which is now Leyton Public Schools. Our four children attended and graduated from Leyton.  I look forward to watching my grandchildren learn and grow into successful adults as they graduate from Leyton Public Schools. We all have a deep interest in our school as we know or have children and grandchildren attending. Please go to the voting polls this May and November as every vote counts.  You can't go wrong voting this year as our school district has great candidates running, they are all devoted to our school.
