Lincoln – Judge Randin R. Roland of Sidney is one of 30 distinguished Nebraska lawyers honored as a Fellow of the Nebraska State Bar Foundation. The lawyers were recognized March 13 at the Foundation's 32nd Annual Fellows Dinner at the Holland Center in Omaha.
Roland is County Judge for the 12th Judicial District.

the Outstanding Legal Educator Award.
Thirty lawyers are nominated and selected each year to be Foundation Fellows. In all the Foundation has more than 800 Fellows. Fellows are selected based on their integrity and character, their leadership and service, their dedication to improving the administration of justice and their contributions to the Foundation.
Sharon Kresha of Omaha, a Foundation Fellow and Assistant Treasurer of the Foundation Board of Directors, introduced the new Fellows. Steve Guenzel of Lincoln, Foundation Board President, thanked the new Fellows for their commitment and support.
"At a time of great public discord, the Nebraska State Bar Foundation offers resources and programs to help students, educators, community leaders and others teach and model ways to be responsible, engaged citizens and to set good examples for others," Guenzel said. He encouraged Fellows to support the Foundation's 2020 theme, "Educate to Engage: Citizenship through Civics."
"At the Bar Foundation, we believe that all of us – regardless of age or background – have much to gain by re-examining our understanding of civics and re-committing ourselves to practicing good citizenship," Guenzel said.
The Nebraska State Bar Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to serving the citizens of Nebraska and the legal profession through the administration and funding of innovative and creative programs directed toward the improvement of the administration of justice and the fulfillment of the American vision of equal justice for all.
