Sidney's seven state qualifiers (from left) Dietrich Lecher, Austin Munier, Paul Houser, Hayden Hofrock, Jacob Peckham, Hayden Hofrock and Brady Robb will travel to Omaha to compete in the state tournament starting on Thursday.
Sidney's Red Raider Wrestling team continued their successful season by qualifying seven wrestlers for the NSAA State Tournament with their strong showings at the B-4 District Tournament in Scottsbluff over the weekend.
Austin Munier qualified with a second place showing at 113lbs, Jacob Peckham qualified with a third place finish at 132lbs, Paul Houser qualified with a third place finish at 138lbs, Brady Robb qualified with a first place finish at 170lbs, Dietrich Lecher qualified with a first place finish at 182lbs, Nathan Hofrock qualified with a fourth place finish at 220lbs, and Hayden Hofrock qualified with a second place finish at 285lbs.
The Sidney Seven will leave for the State Tournament Wednesday morning, and all are encouraged to send off the boys as their bus leaves for Omaha for an early start to the tournament on Thursday.
