Watchorn Signs With Concordia

Leyton multi-sport standout Madelyn Watchorn signed a letter of intent on Friday afternoon to play volleyball for the Concordia Lady Bulldogs starting in the Fall of 2020. Concordia volleyball coach Ben Boldt was on hand for the signing, and explained that a friend with the NSAA sent Watchorn's information to him, sparking Concordia's interest.

"We think she's going to be a great fit at Concordia, and she'll fit in well as an all-around player once she figures out the speed difference between the high school and college game."

Last year, the Lady Bulldogs finished with a 24-and-6 record, and the addition of Watchorn will make the team even more competitive in their league.

Watchorn was impressed with Concordia, saying, "I really like the coaches and the other girls on the team, and the school is the right size for me. I really like the religious aspect to the school's curriculum."

Watchorn plans on focusing her studies in the healthcare field and business.
