Nancy Elizabeth Rankin Brown died Wednesday, January 29, 2020 in Fort Worth, Texas following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Memorial services were held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, Texas.
She was born April 12, 1938 to Robert and Jean (McKeown) Rankin in Enid, Oklahoma. She graduated from Sidney High School in Sidney, Nebraska in 1956.
She married Stewart Thomas Brown, Jr. on December 27, 1958 in Sidney, Nebraska.
She was an artist who loved to paint, make candles, knit, sew and was a wonderful cook. She loved gardening and grew beautiful flowers.
She was an explorer who dreamed of living abroad. She achieved that dream and traveled the world with her husband and lived in Egypt for a number of years.
She loved to spend quality time with her grandchildren and went on many adventures across the country with her grandchildren traveling from the swamps of Louisiana and the beaches of Galveston Island to Mount Rushmore.
She is survived by her husband Stewart of 61 years; brother David Rankin; sisters Chris Gleason and Debi Biner; two sons, Stewart III (Darcy); Tim (Tami); four grandchildren, Stewart Brown IV, Jacob Brown, Jaden Brown and Colin Brown. She also loved her dogs, Jack and Max.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Judy Kuehn and brother Robert Rankin.
She was a devout Catholic who was active in her church.
Nancy had a happy, full life. She loved her family and friends and will be missed dearly.
