Martha "Darlene" (Smith) Kohler passed away peacefully on January 1, 2020 in Scottsbluff, NE at the age of 73.
Darlene spent her younger years as a homemaker for her family. She enjoyed sewing and would later become a seamstress for Gerry Baby Products. She loved animals of all kinds, but had a love for cats, especially her baby kitty Jasmine. Darlene had a talent for art but was especially fond of sketching.

Darlene was born on October 9, 1946 in St Louis, MO to Mayford O. and Thelma L (Hurt) Smith. She married Charles R. Kohler on January 15, 1966 in St. Louis, MO. To this union two children were born, Adrienne K. and Charles "Michael" Kohler.
Darlene is survived by her daughter, Adrienne Cheatham and husband Dennis of Sidney, NE and her son, Charles "Michael" Kohler and wife Kim of Rapid City, SD. Her brothers, Terry Smith and wife Sally of Dow, IL and Dennis Smith of Kane, IL, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Kohler, her parents, Mayford O. Smith, Thelma L. (Hurt) Smith/Dickerson, step-father, Peat Dickerson, and two sisters, Bertha Ann and Donna Sue.
