Sidney’s Red Raider Boy’s Cross Country team traveled to Kearney for the NSAA Class C State Championships on Friday, and at the end of the day placed third as a team, behind first place Aurora and runner-up Malcom.
Sophomore Daniel Bashtovoi led the Sidney runners with sixth place finish at 17:01.9 followed by sophomore Cameron Brauer with a 14th place finish at 17:17.3. For the girl’s squad, sophomore Lydia Peters had the best finish for Sidney, coming in 29th at 21:19.0.
Sidney finishes ranked third in the final 2019 NXCCA Class C Cross Country State Rankings with 73 total points, and is first in Class C-4.
