Michelman Comments on Lady Coyote's Week

Potter-Dix's Lady Coyote's Volleyball Head Coach Cory Michelman commented on the team's progress over the last week, saying, "The week of September 24th through October 1st was a busy one for the Potter-Dix Lady Coyotes.  The team travelled to Paxton and played in the Paxton Invitational Tournament.  The Coyotes finished second after beating the Paxton Tigers 25-23, 25-22 and dropping a game to Wauneta-Palisade 17-25, 11-25.  On the 27th, we hosted the Hyannis Longhorns, and the Varsity Team won in four sets, 25-17, 18-25, 25-21, and 25-21."

He added, "On  Saturday the 28th, we hosted the annual Potter-Dix Invitational with six teams competing.  The teams were Potter-Dix, Peetz, Morrill, Crawford, Perkins County and Sedgwick County.  The Coyotes ended the day as the runners-up after beating Peetz 25-22, 25-23, Crawford 25-20, 25-19 and losing to eventual champions Sedgwick County 13-25 and 15-25.  We ended the week hosting a triangular with Bayard and South Platte, losing both matches.  Bayard defeated the Lady Coyotes 17-25 and 18-25 in a match that was plagued by 16 errors in the serving game.

The final game of the evening was against South Platte.  The Lady Knights came out strong in the first set, winning 10-25.  A  couple of hot servers caused us fits in the first set and we struggled to get timely sideouts.  The last set was much better with the final score ending up 25-27.  We had several chances to win, but were unable to finish off a tough Lady Knights team."
