On Saturday morning, the annual "Great Trash Race" event sponsored by Keep Sidney Beautiful had 25 volunteers working hard to keep Sidney clean and trash-free. Keep Sidney Beautiful is one of 22 Nebraska affiliates of the Keep America Beautiful program, and since its inception in 2002 has focused on reducing litter, promoting recycling, and coordinating beautification projects in the Sidney community.
