Donald M. Kettler - Obituary

Donald M. Kettler (Don) died suddenly and peacefully in his sleep on May 26, 2019.

Don was born in Sidney, Nebraska on November 10, 1950. He graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1973 with a bachelor's degree in business, Don began his career with Quality Farm and Fleet and moved to Muskegon in 1976 eventually retiring as Vice President of Real Estate. He then launched his second career in real estate, starting his own companies, Kettler Real Estate and DNK Development. Don married his wife, Heather, on March 8, 1980. He was a long-time member of Muskegon Country Club, Bonita Bay Club and loved his Cornhuskers, golf, boating, pickelball and especially spending time with friends and family.

He leaves behind his wife, Heather; daughter, Meghann Kettler of Denver, Colorado; son, Chris and wife Kristi of Spring Lake; daughter, Dr. Caitlin and husband, Jason Brazda of Nuncia; 4 beloved grandsons, Jackson, Wade and Cody Brazda and Landon Kettler; mother, Dorothy Kettler; sisters, Ginny Olson and Peggy (Tom) O'Connell of Sidney, Nebraska; brother, Dale (Bonnie) Kettler of Springfield, Missouri and many nieces, nephews and in-laws who loved him dearly.

He is preceeded in death by his brother, David and father, Marvin.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2019 at St. Francis de Sales Church, 2929 McCracken Blvd., Muskegon with Rev. Charles Hall presiding. Visitation will be on Friday, May 31 from 4-7 p.m. at the Lee Chapel, 6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 231-798-1100.
