Four people were arrested Friday, May 10, following a combined effort by the Sidney Police Department, Cheyenne County Sheriff's Office and Nebraska State Patrol.
Authorities took 12 pounds of suspected Methamphetamines from the house. The meth has an estimated street value of $500,000. Authorities also found three handguns in the search.
The arrests occurred following the search for suspected narcotics in a house in Sidney.
Francisco Herrera, 35, of Sterling, CO., Ashley Whited, 30, of Sidney, Rene Basaldua, 41, of Sterling, CO., and Jared Schaefer, 26 currently of Sterling were arrested on charges of Possession of 16 oz or more of meth, Possession with Intent to Deliver (2A felony), Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and No Drug Stamp.
Schaefer also has an outstanding warrant from Logan County, CO for armed robbery. Basaldua was also arrested on a felony warrant for failing to appear on dangerous drugs charges in Logan County, CO.
The four were advised of charges before Cheyenne County Court Judge Randin Roland Monday afternoon. Each is being held on $250,000 bond, 10 percent ($25,000) cash. Whited is being held in Lincoln County Jail in North Platte and was advised via telephone.
