Girls Day Out is an opportunity for woman of Sidney, Cheyenne County and the surrounding area to connect with local business services and products.
“It offers 'shoportunities' for our ladies in Cheyenne County and the surrounding area,” said Sandy Goble of the Cheyenne County Chamber of Commerce.
The day will include opportunities to visit local business and see what they have to offer, meet with home-based entrepreneurs, lunch downtown and and be entertained by two matinee movies “The Book Club,” and “Instant Family,” both at 4 p.m. New this year there will also be a 1 p.m. Kids matinee, “Smallfoot.” The home-based businesses will be at the Elks Lodge. Demonstrations, “make-and-take,” and mini-photo sessions will be available. Food will also be available at the Elks Club.
This year's Girls Day Out is expected to be much different than in 2018. Last year, the Sidney community was still digging out of a recent snow storm. This year is anticipated to be warm and spring-like.
There are about 36 businesses and 30 home-base businesses participating in the Girls Day Out.
