Rosalinde "Rosa" Anni Myers was born to Max and Frieda (Genck) Schrenk on December 18, 1929 in Hof, Germany. She married United States serviceman Floyd P. Myers on November 4, 1958 in Esslingen, Germany. Rosa and Floyd made Imperial, Nebraska their home where she worked as a waitress at local restaurants and Floyd served the community as a mechanic.
Rosa was active in her community; she was a member of the Andrew Kinder VFW Post # 4688 Auxiliary as well as the local Eagles Aerie Auxiliary. She also enjoyed gardening, camping and sewing in her free time.
Floyd passed away in 1981. Rosa moved to Sidney, Nebraska later in life to remain close to her family. She passed away early Saturday morning, April 13, 2019 at the Skyview at Bridgeport Nursing Facility in Bridgeport, Nebraska. She was 89 years of age.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; in-laws, Paul and Laura; three brothers and one sister and great-grandson, Kaleb Joseph Myers.
Survivors include: Son, Reiner Myers and wife, Marcy of Bridgeport, Nebraska; 2 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren 6 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Thursday morning, April 18, 2019; 10:30 A.M. (MT) at Mount Hope Cemetery in Imperial, Nebraska with Pastor David Kahle officiating. The family requests that casual dress is worn for services.
Visitation will be held Wednesday afternoon, April 17, 2019 from 3:00-7:00 P.M. (MT) at the funeral home in Imperial.
A memorial has been established in Rosa's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
