Leon D. Bell - Obituary

On Friday, July 27, 2018, Leon D. Bell, loving husband, father and brother, passed away at the age of 69.

Leon was born on February 21, 1949 in Scottsbluff, NE to Roy and Nellie (Reid) Bell. He grew up on the family farm with his two other brothers, Lyle, Dean and sister, Rena. He graduated high school in 1968. The Army drafted him in 1969 and was honorably discharged in 1971. He served the Army as a medic. After the Army he went to college for auto mechanics and graduated from WNCC in Sidney, NE. He moved to Peetz, CO and found work at the coop grain elevator. He was introduced to Arlene Fritton by his parents around 1979-80ish. On April 4th of 1981 they got married. They had one daughter, Chelsea, and one son, who was still born.

Leon was preceded in death by his father, Roy and his mother, Nellie. He is survived by his wife, Arlene, his daughter, Chelsea (Brandon), his brothers, Lyle (Lavonna), Dean (Laura), his sister, Rena (Mike) and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Scottsbluff, NE on 3102 Ave D, Scottsbluff, NE at 11 o'clock a.m. Flowers can be delivered to the church by 9:00a.m. on the 17th of May.
