the following incidents were investigated by the Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Office
March 13: An Idaho man escaped injury when the truck-trailer he was driving went off the road near Sidney. Merrill Green, 61, of Ammon, Idaho, was driving a 2018 Freightliner truck and trailer east on Cheyenne County Road 16 at about 30 miles per hour, according to the Cheyenne County Sheriff’s Office accident report. Green was driving on CR 16 because Interstate 80 and Highway 30 were closed in both directions due to adverse weather. Green reported that about a half-mile east of County Road 129, wind pushed his truck and trailer into a ditch, resulting in the truck-trailer rolling onto its right side, resulting in an estimated $10,000 damage.
Green reported he was picked up by “Filsingers” and transported to Sidney Regional Medical Center. There he was tested for drugs and alcohol, according to the accident report.
