Authorities continue investigating a series of vehicle break-ins that occurred Thursday Feb. 28 into Friday, March 1 in the Dalton area.
On Friday afternoon, Cheyenne County Sheriff Adam Frerichs sent our a press release regarding vehicles in the Dalton community broken into. In the press release, Frerichs said that during the nighttime hours of (Thursday )Feb 28, through the morning hours of (Friday) March 1, a person or persons committed a series of thefts from parked, unlocked vehicles in the Dalton and Gurley communities.
At this time it appears that the suspect was only after purses, wallets and/or money. The Sheriff's Office is requesting that any victims who have not yet reported their crime, please do so, Any and all information provided may lead investigators closer to finding a suspect. If anyone has any information pertaining to these thefts, they are encouraged to contact the sheriff’s office at 308-254-2922.
Residents are also encouraged to always keep valuables locked up and out of sight.
