Sidney Wrestlers Top Gothenberg

Sidney's Red Raider wrestling team traveled to Gothenberg on Friday for their first dual meet of the season, and came away with an impressive 57-to-18 victory.

Highlighted with wins by KC Higer, Brady Robb, and Cameron Brauer, the Sidney team also had the opportunity see some of their freshman compete in varsity spots and do well.

Sidney head coach Beau McConnell was pleased with the team's performance, saying, "We saw a lot of really good things from our veterans, and it was great to see some of the freshman step up. We still have a lot to work on as we move forward but it was nice to see our wrestlers excited, aggressive, and looking for the pin."

Sidney wrestling travels to Cheyenne on Friday to compete against top level Colorado and Wyoming teams. Coach McConnell believes the competition will be a good gauge to judge where his wrestlers stand as a team.
