Christmas Kickoff and Parade of Lights

A winter storm forecast for Saturday didn't materialize as feared, and Sidney's Christmas Kickoff and Parade of Lights went off without a hitch. Many residents braved the cold weather to attend kickoff events and the parade, which boasted a record 20 floats.

For the second straight year, Sidney High School won the Organization Float. Security First Bank and Sidney Regional Medical Center teamed up for the Parade Theme Award, and Points West Bank & Insurance won the Griswold Award.
